UPSC Opens Recruitment for 80 Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner Posts

The hiring will fill EPFO enforcement, accounts and claims roles through a pen-and-paper test with reserved quotas and a small application fee.

  • The Union Public Service Commission has invited online applications for 80 Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner posts in the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation, with the portal open from August 22 to September 11, 2026.
  • The 80 vacancies include reserved seats: 28 unreserved, 8 EWS, 18 OBC, 15 SC, 15 ST and 3 for persons with benchmark disability, as published in UPSC’s Special Advertisement.
  • Assistant Provident Fund Commissioners will handle enforcement, recovery, accounts, administration, cash, legal work, pension matters and computer-based statutory and administrative tasks for EPFO.
  • Eligibility requires a university degree and category-based upper age limits (35 for UR/EWS, 38 for OBC, 40 for SC/ST); the selection test is a two-hour objective pen-and-paper exam with one-third negative marking and questions in English and Hindi, and a Rs. 25 application fee applies with exemptions for women, SC/ST and PwBD candidates.
