Overview
- The written phase runs from August 22 to 31 in two daily sessions (9:00 am–12:00 pm and 2:30 pm–5:30 pm), with entry closing at 8:30 am and 2:00 pm.
- Candidates must bring a printed e‑Admit Card downloaded from upsc.gov.in and an original photo ID for each session, and they should retain the admit card until final results.
- Mobile phones, smartwatches, bags and other electronic or communication devices are prohibited; only simple wristwatches, transparent water bottles and non‑programmable calculators are permitted.
- Answers must be written only in the Question‑cum‑Answer booklet, unused pages crossed out, rough work done in the designated space and the booklet handed to the invigilator after each session.
- UPSC has said 14,161 candidates qualified to appear, while some reports estimate around 9,000 may sit the exam, with 979 vacancies including 38 for PwBD available.
