Overview
- An official UPPSC notification issued by Deputy Secretary Virendra Mani Tripathi sets the RO/ARO 2023 mains for January 31 and February 1, 2026.
- January 31 features General Studies from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, then a 2:00 pm–5:00 pm paper split into subjective General Hindi and Drafting (2:00 pm–4:30 pm) followed by an objective vocabulary and grammar test (4:30 pm–5:00 pm).
- The Hindi Essay paper is scheduled for February 1 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, completing the two-day examination cycle.
- UPPSC earlier shortlisted 7,509 candidates after prelims results on September 16, allocating them against 338 Review Officer and 79 Assistant Review Officer vacancies, plus 2 ARO (Accounts) posts.
- The recruitment drew 1,076,004 applications with about 454,589 appearing in the July 27, 2024 prelims, and candidates are advised to follow updates on uppsc.up.nic.in.
