Overview

• UPI processed over Rs 24.03 lakh crore in June 2025 across 18.39 billion transactions, marking a 32 percent year-on-year increase.
• The system now serves 491 million users and 65 million merchants through 675 connected banks.
• UPI commands 85 percent of India’s digital transactions and nearly 50 percent of global real-time payments.
• Daily volumes exceed 640 million transactions, surpassing Visa’s daily average of 639 million.
• The open interoperable network is live in seven countries, including its first European deployment in France.
