Upcoming 'Like A Dragon' Spin-Off Features Pirate Adventure in Hawaii

Originally envisioned as a fishing game, the new installment takes players on a pirate journey with ex-yakuza characters.

The next game in the Like A Dragon series is titled 'Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii' and is set for release on February 27, 2025.
The game was initially conceived as 'Like A Dragon: Tuna,' focusing on protagonist Kazuma Kiryu as a tuna fisherman battling other fishing boats.
Executive producer Masayoshi Yokoyama shifted the concept from fishing to a pirate theme, inspired by keywords like 'ship,' 'sea,' and 'fighting.'
The spin-off will feature fan-favorite character Goro Majima, who embarks on an adventure across Hawaii, adding new gameplay elements like jumping and dual-wielding swords.
The game continues the series' tradition of incorporating quirky sub-stories and is described as a perfect-sized narrative for adult players.
