UP Woman Arrested for Killing Man Allegedly Blackmailing and Harassing Her

A 35-year-old woman in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, was arrested for allegedly killing a 32-year-old man, Iqbal, who she claimed was blackmailing and harassing her.
The woman stated that Iqbal had coerced her into a sexual relationship by threatening to expose recorded calls and destroy her family life.
On the night of the incident, the accused drugged her husband with sedatives provided by Iqbal before visiting his house, where she choked him to death during an encounter.
Police investigations revealed that Iqbal, a zari-zardozi artisan, had repeatedly exploited the woman after meeting her through his work in the village.
The woman confessed to the murder after initially misleading investigators, citing her actions as a desperate effort to protect her family from Iqbal’s threats.
