Overview
- The Noida unit of the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force detained a 32-year-old on Tuesday evening on allegations he posed as a Research and Analysis Wing officer.
- Police recovered a forged RAW identity card bearing the suspect’s photograph along with multiple IDs created in different names.
- Seized materials included cheque books from 20 banks, eight debit or credit cards, five PAN cards, 17 agreements, two Aadhaar cards, three voter IDs, and other documents.
- Officials said the man is originally from Ajoi village in Bihar’s Vaishali district and was residing in the Surajpur area of Greater Noida.
- The STF said the investigation is ongoing to determine what frauds were carried out, identify affected accounts or victims, and decide on charges.
