Overview

• Uttar Pradesh sanctioned a productivity-linked bonus of Rs 6,908 per eligible employee, calculated as 30 days’ pay capped at Rs 7,000.
• The UP decision covers 14.82 lakh non-gazetted staff up to Pay Matrix Level-8, including aided institutions, local bodies, district panchayats, and in-charge or daily-wage workers.
• Rajasthan approved an ad hoc bonus of up to Rs 6,774 for about six lakh employees at pay level L-12 or with grade pay Rs 4,800 and below.
• Rajasthan’s benefits also apply to Panchayat Samiti and District Council employees, according to the chief minister’s announcement.
• Both chief ministers directed officials to ensure credit before the festival, following the Centre’s September 29 approval of bonuses for central staff.
