Overview

  • Announced August 17, the partnership tasks Patanjali Yogpeeth with supporting a state-backed programme to convert cow shelters into production centres for Panchgavya and biogas
  • Officials plan to develop two to ten model centres in each of Uttar Pradesh’s 75 districts, creating between 150 and 750 rural industry hubs
  • Advanced tools including geo-fencing, cow tagging, photo mapping and fodder inventory tracking will be complemented by supply of neem, vermicompost and cow urine to modernise management and enhance environmental resilience
  • Under a 50% commission sales model, villagers will collect inputs and participate in product sales while Patanjali provides training, quality control, certification and licensing
  • Yoga guru Baba Ramdev’s forthcoming meeting with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will finalise detailed timelines and procedures for the statewide rollout
