Overview
- The celebrations will run January 24–26 with linked observances around Youth Day, Netaji Jayanti, National Tourism Day/Voters’ Awareness Day and Republic Day.
- Alongside the Lucknow centerpiece, events are slated for Noida Shilpgram, all districts, Delhi and Maharashtra, with programmes also encouraged in countries hosting large Uttar Pradesh diasporas.
- Officials were told to honor three to five notable expatriates per host state and invite senior public figures with Uttar Pradesh roots to external events.
- Programming will feature themes tied to figures such as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Birsa Munda, block-to-state talent competitions, and participation by institutions like Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Sangeet Natak Akademi and Lalit Kala Akademi.
- ODOP items, all GI‑tagged products and a new One District, One Cuisine focus will be showcased, with Civil Defence mock drills ordered for January 23 and reinforced Magh Mela measures covering CCTV monitoring, health services and mandatory life jackets for boatmen.
