Overview

• Twenty-three IAS officers, including district magistrates of Noida, Ghaziabad and Prayagraj, have formally taken up new postings following the July transfer order
• Medha Roopam, a 2014-batch officer and former CEO of the Greater Noida Authority, took charge July 30 as Gautam Buddh Nagar’s first woman district magistrate
• Roopam immediately prioritized fast-tracking the long-delayed Jewar international airport and has begun coordinating with Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway authorities
• Manish Kumar Verma moved from Noida to become the DM of Prayagraj, while Ravindra Kumar Mandar and Deepak Kumar Meena assumed the DM roles in Ghaziabad and Gorakhpur respectively
• Krishna Karunesh, the outgoing Gorakhpur DM, has been appointed Additional CEO of the Noida Authority to support urban development initiatives
