• Khushboo married Sunil on May 17, stayed with his family for nine days and then returned to her parents’ home before eloping with her lover.
• Sunil filed a missing person report on June 10 and police located Khushboo and her lover on June 16.
• At the police station Khushboo confirmed she chose to live with her lover and both families agreed to return wedding jewellery and gifts.
• Station House Officer Harendra Singh said the agreement was officially documented and no legal action was pursued by either side.
