UP Board Extends Answer-Sheet Checking To April 4

Holiday closures for Eid-ul-Fitr and Ram Navami created a backlog that forced the extension.

Overview

  • UPMSP extended the evaluation window to April 4 after the March 18–April 1 plan fell behind across checking centres.
  • Work paused on March 21 for Eid-ul-Fitr and again on March 26–27 for Ram Navami, leaving many answer sheets unchecked.
  • The board ordered examiners to finish marking roughly 3 crore papers and to send final award lists to regional offices by April 5.
  • Result processing will start after award lists arrive, but the board has not set a new publication date, with mid-April only reported as a likely window.
  • This year about 52 lakh students registered and around 49.4 lakh sat for exams held from February 18 to March 12, making timing critical for families awaiting scores.
