• Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said companies must pay fairly with the state covering any shortfall to ensure full minimum pay and to stop outsourcing abuses, adding that labour laws are being modernised to protect workers’ rights.
• He said Uttar Pradesh is set to be the first state to assure minimum wages and a minimum salary guarantee for all employed youth.
• The announcement came at Rozgar Mahakumbh 2025 in Lucknow, a three-day job fair reported to include over 100 companies and more than 50,000 participants.
• On August 27, the CM distributed appointment letters to 2,425 lady supervisors and 13 pharmacists selected through the UPSSSC’s process.
• The government highlighted its broader employment and MSME record, citing 8.5 lakh government jobs in eight years, 96 lakh MSME units, absorption of returning migrants during COVID-19, and a Rs 5 lakh insurance cover for registered MSME entrepreneurs.
