• The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner confirmed Chuter was found on a patio on Aug. 14, with the cause of death deferred pending investigation.
• Chuter, a Nigerian-born entrepreneur who built her career at L’Oréal, Revlon and LVMH, founded Uoma Beauty in 2019.
• Uoma debuted with a 51-shade foundation range and later expanded into mass retail with Uoma by Sharon C., including a Walmart launch.
• She stepped down as Uoma’s CEO in 2023 following a health scare but said she remained a shareholder.
• In February 2025 she sued MacArthur Beauty, BrainTrust and Settle Funding, alleging she was pushed out and that the 2023 asset sale was improper.
