Overview
- On Wednesday at about 12:05 p.m. an 87-year-old man from Stadtbergen parked at the Obermarkt in Murnau and neglected to secure the handbrake
- The unattended vehicle rolled toward the nearby pedestrian zone before the front-seat passenger attempted to steer it onto Johannisstraße
- Two children aged 11 and 13 were touched by the rolling car while crossing the street and were taken to the local accident clinic with minor injuries
- The passenger managed to bring the vehicle to a stop at the end of Johannisstraße, preventing it from entering the busy pedestrian area
- Authorities have not announced any charges in connection with the incident
