UNLV Shooting: Former Professor Kills Three, Injures One

The suspect, who was also killed, had previously been turned down for a job at the university.

  • Three people were killed and one critically injured in a shooting at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), with the suspect also dead.
  • The suspect has been identified as a 67-year-old former professor who had unsuccessfully applied for a job at UNLV.
  • The shooting began on the fourth floor of the building that houses UNLV’s Lee Business School and moved to other floors before ending outside where the suspect was killed by police.
  • Classes at the university have been canceled for the remainder of the week.
  • The attack is the worst shooting in Las Vegas since the 2017 massacre at a music festival that killed 60 people.
