Overview
- Family and transport CCTV helped reconstruct the route that on Monday took 21-year-old Mariano Martínez from the UNLP faculty to Punta Lara, back to La Plata on Línea 275 and then on a Tren Roca service to Plaza Constitución.
- Station cameras last showed him leaving Constitución toward the plaza and his phone stopped registering messaging activity after a 14:35 message to his brother that gave his laptop password, 'paintball'.
- A Córdoba tip — including a photo sent to the family and witnesses who said he left a CV at local businesses — prompted police checks and reporters say Mariano presented himself at a Córdoba police station.
- Investigators and the family are now focused on verifying the full sequence with SUBE card records, station and commercial CCTV and requested antenna triangulation to close gaps in the trail.
- Mariano’s parents say he had been sleep‑deprived before the disappearance and they want authorities to clarify his state of health and motives so the case can be classified as medical, voluntary or criminal as appropriate.
