Overview

• On July 15 a medium-sized dog with black-orange-white fluffy fur resembling a Corgi charged at a rolling ball and bit an 11-year-old boy on the Brunogarten playground in Buxheim
• The boy sustained two superficial bite wounds and a roughly one-centimeter-deep injury to his calf and received on-site medical attention
• Two women who were with the dog left the scene immediately after the attack without checking on the injured child
• Polizeiinspektion Memmingen is asking anyone who saw the incident or can identify the women or the dog to call 08331/100-0
• This case is the latest in a series of unrestrained dog attacks on minors in Bavaria that have prompted muzzle and leash orders and legal proceedings against negligent owners
