Overview

• Eligibility is limited to Utah residents entering as first-time, first-year students with an unweighted 3.5 high school GPA and family income and assets each below $100,000.
• Applicants must submit the university admission application by Dec. 1 and file the FAFSA by Feb. 1 to be considered for the guarantee.
• The program covers tuition and mandatory fees for up to four years of full-time enrollment, beginning with the fall 2026 freshman class.
• To keep the benefit, recipients must file the FAFSA each year, remain under the income and asset thresholds, enroll full time each semester, and maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA.
• Funding comes from a combination of scholarships and grants that leverage existing aid and donor support, and the initiative complements recent steps such as awarding up to 12 credits for prior learning and service.
