University of Mysore Sets Jan. 5 Convocation for 30,966 Graduates

The university goes into the ceremony after mobilising ₹20 crore for pension arrears, with regular funds still insufficient.

  • Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot will preside, with former ISRO chairman S. Somanath delivering the address and Higher Education Minister M. C. Sudhakar attending.
  • Women constitute about 60% of the graduands and account for 158 of the 213 medal recipients across five faculties.
