Overview
- Universal Pictures Home Entertainment announced Tuesday that The Odyssey will be available for digital purchase/rental and on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on November 17, 2026.
- The home release packs more than 90 minutes of special features personally overseen by Christopher Nolan, including behind‑the‑scenes modules, a music video, and the film’s IMAX‑exclusive prologue.
- Universal said the disc and digital launch will come months before the film hits streaming, with a 2027 debut expected on NBCUniversal’s Peacock.
- Reports differ on the film’s total grosses — outlets cite roughly $1.35 billion and $1.78 billion — but all coverage notes The Odyssey as a major 2026 box‑office success with a large IMAX revenue share.
- The windowing and extras reflect Nolan’s preference for long theatrical runs and premium formats, echoing Oppenheimer’s release pattern and offering collector‑oriented bonuses aimed at home‑cinema buyers.
