Universal Sets Final Date for 1990 Animal Actors on Location!

Overview

• Universal confirmed Friday that Animal Actors on Location! will hold its final performances on November 2, 2026 and will officially close on November 3, 2026.
• The live stage show, which opened with Universal Studios Florida in 1990, used trained dogs, cats, birds and other animals with trainers and audience participation to offer a family-focused, non‑ride entertainment option.
• Universal has not explained why it is retiring the production and has not announced any plans for what will replace the theater space.
• The closure continues a long-running trend at Universal Studios Florida of removing original attractions while the resort advances new projects such as the Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift coaster set for 2027.
• Guests who want to see the show before it ends should check Universal’s daily entertainment schedule because live showtimes can vary and the loss will affect trainers, staff and families who valued the low‑intensity performance.
