Overview
- Universal posted an announcement on its official Twitter account confirming a new indoor coaster for Epic Universe and stating that construction is already underway.
- The company says the attraction will immerse guests in an all-new story inspired by the Universal Monsters franchise.
- Universal described an opening planned “in the years ahead” but provided no specific timeline, capacity information, or operational details.
- The public announcement follows months of permit filings and visible construction after Epic Universe opened in 2025, which had signaled additional park build-out.
- The addition will expand Dark Universe’s lineup and could change visitor flow and crowd patterns once Universal releases ride specifics and an opening date, so guests and local businesses should watch for future updates.
