Overview

  • Universal Horror Unleashed opened on August 14 in Las VegasAREA15 District as Universal’s first permanent, year-round standalone horror experience.
  • The 110,000-square-foot venue houses four haunted houses—Scarecrow: The Reaping; The Texas Chainsaw Massacre; Universal Monsters; and Blumhouse’s The Exorcist: Believer—alongside four themed scare zones, live entertainment, themed dining and retail outlets.
  • Ticket prices range from $69 for general one-time access to $99 for unlimited entry, with the three-hour Haunted High Rollers VIP package starting at $2,750.
  • On a recent Thursday night three of the four haunted houses closed before the advertised 10 p.m. closing, prompting guests to seek refunds and voice frustration on social media.
  • Universal has not issued a public response to the early closures; a second Horror Unleashed location in Chicago is slated for construction in early 2026 for a 2027 debut.
