Universal Confirms First European Theme Park in Bedford, UK, Opening in 2031

Universal Studios' first European theme park will be located in Bedford, UK, with an opening planned for 2031.
The project, backed by Comcast’s multi-billion-pound investment, is expected to generate £50 billion for the UK economy by 2055.
The park will feature attractions based on Universal’s iconic franchises, including Minions, Jurassic World, and Harry Potter, with potential for locally inspired elements like Paddington under consideration.
The 200-hectare site benefits from excellent transport links, including proximity to London and Luton Airport, and will include a 500-room hotel.
Up to 28,000 jobs will be created, with 80% of construction roles sourced locally, supported by partnerships with regional training centers.
