Universal Changes Halloween Horror Nights Access for Passholders and Removes Express Bundle

The moves give Universal tighter nightly control over premium queue access and force repeat visitors to change how they plan multi-night trips.

Overview

  • Universal announced on Wednesday that it has discontinued all Fear-with-Express multi-night products for Halloween Horror Nights 35, saying the change is meant to improve the guest experience.
  • Premier Annual Passholders can reserve one complimentary HHN 35 ticket beginning Tuesday, July 21 after 12:00 p.m., and reservations must be made online rather than being automatically added to accounts.
  • A single Premier Passholder may book for up to eight other Premier Passholders in one session provided they supply each guest’s valid Pass ID number.
  • Standard Express Passes remain available as a separate nightly add-on for single-night tickets, so guests who want front-of-line access will need to buy Express for specific nights when it is offered.
  • The combined changes are likely to make planning more urgent for frequent visitors because multi-night passes will no longer guarantee Express access and Express inventory will be managed night by night.
