Unity Holidays Unveils £20m Skirlington Revamp and £9m Seven Lakes Upgrade

Planning submissions set the stage for more than 120 permanent jobs with a push to open key features by April 2026.

Overview

  • Legacy Leisure Group has lodged design proposals with council planners and released fly‑through visuals for both parks, with work dependent on approvals.
  • At Skirlington Coast Yorkshire, the plan centres on a Festival Gardens concept with boardwalks, seaside‑style attractions, expanded indoor‑outdoor pools, loungers and cabanas, and new sports facilities.
  • Seven Lakes Country Park in Crowle is slated for a sailing school, paddleboards, a giant inflatable water course, spa and sauna, lakeside hot tubs, and a stage for summer performances, alongside upgraded dining and a live music lounge.
  • Unity Holidays projects more than 120 permanent roles and around 200 seasonal jobs across the two schemes, framed as a modern take on traditional British staycations.
  • The company, which bought Seven Lakes only weeks ago after acquiring Skirlington last year, aims to deliver initial elements in time for the 2026 summer season subject to planning consent.
