Overview

  • At $5,900, the R1 is the most affordable humanoid robot on the market.
  • It stands roughly four feet tall, weighs about 25 kg, and integrates a large multimodal model with an ultra-wide camera, four-mic array, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
  • Demonstrations show the R1 executing cartwheels, handstands, boxing drills, martial arts moves, dance routines and jogging.
  • The robot’s absence of dexterous hands, limited battery life of around one hour and issued safety warnings restrict its practical deployment.
  • Unitree promotes the R1 for research, education and pilot industrial programs as global humanoid competition intensifies.
