- Premier qualification requirements will stay the same for the next status cycle after a roughly 25% increase announced for 2026.
- Beginning Jan. 1, 2026, Premier 1K members can earn additional PlusPoints through spending on eligible United cobranded credit cards.
- Starting Feb. 1, 2026, all Premier members will be eligible for Complimentary Premier Upgrades and PlusPoints upgrades on award tickets.
- United has expanded Polaris Saver award availability for Premier members and United Chase cardholders, giving them increased access to cheaper premium award seats.
- In February 2027, PlusPoints upgrade redemptions will move to dynamic pricing, with the points required varying by route, date and demand, according to United’s Luc Bondar.
