United Becomes First Airline to Support Apple Wallet’s iOS 26 Travel Features

The rollout links boarding passes to Find My for lock-screen updates with optional sharing that hides sensitive details.

Overview

  • Apple’s iOS 26 adds enhanced Wallet passes that enable Live Activity flight tracking on the lock screen, airport terminal maps inside Wallet, and checked-bag tracking through Find My.
  • United Airlines has switched on the new integration, becoming the first carrier to support the features following the iOS 26 public release.
  • The live flight tracker is not enabled automatically, as users must tap a button in Wallet to add the Live Activity to the lock screen.
  • Travelers can share the flight tracker with friends or family, who see live progress without access to the passenger’s seat number or boarding group.
  • A new Track Luggage button in Wallet opens Find My to the bag’s linked AirTag, with baggage status eligible to appear in Live Activities, while other major airlines are listed by Apple as coming soon.
