United Airlines Passenger Restrained After Violent Outburst on Flight

A disruptive passenger was banned from United Airlines after attacking a seat mid-flight, prompting fellow travelers to intervene and restrain him.

The incident occurred on November 16 aboard United Airlines Flight 502 from Austin to Los Angeles with 76 passengers and five crew members on board.
A viral video shows the passenger standing on his reclined seat, stomping on it, and attempting to dismantle the plastic tray table.
Fellow passenger Gino Galofaro captured the scene on video and, along with two others, restrained the man using zip ties and seatbelts after flight attendants failed to act initially.
Upon landing at Los Angeles International Airport, the disruptive passenger was handed over to local law enforcement.
United Airlines confirmed the passenger is banned from future flights and thanked the crew and passengers for ensuring the safety of everyone on board.
