UNITAS 2025 Opens on U.S. East Coast With 25 Nations and 8,000 Personnel

The schedule includes live-fire events culminating in an amphibious landing before Oct. 6.

Overview

  • Exercises are underway in the in-port phase at Naval Station Mayport and Camp Lejeune before transitioning to sea operations off the East Coast.
  • The underway phase will include a SINKEX, a ship-to-shore landing, and a force withdrawal at Camp Lejeune.
  • Marine Corps Forces South is hosting the largest known Marine participation, with more than 2,000 Marines and partner troops training toward a multinational assault on Onslow Beach using ships from Guatemala, Mexico, Spain, and the United States.
  • Twenty-five countries from the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia have deployed ships, submarines, and aircraft to strengthen interoperability and readiness.
  • Commanders frame the exercise as a commitment to regional maritime security and note its link to events marking the U.S. Navy’s 250th anniversary.
