Union Minister's Brother Arrested in ₹2 Crore Cheating Case

Sunita Chavan claims she paid ₹2 crore in installments to Gopal Joshi for securing a BJP ticket for her husband, which never materialized.
The complaint includes allegations of threats, violence, and caste-based abuse when Chavan demanded her money back.
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi distanced himself from the case, asserting he disowned his brother decades ago and has no sister.
Police have registered cases under various sections, including cheating and prevention of atrocities against backward classes.
