Overview
- Official tallies show the CDU at a little over €6.6 million and the CSU at about €1.2 million, with the AfD at roughly €5.1 million, the SPD at €2.3 million, the Greens near €1.2 million and The Left at €0.3 million.
- The Bundestag administration is withholding an approximately €2.35 million AfD donation on suspicion of an illegal straw-man contribution, and the party is suing to recover the funds.
- After the 23 February election, the CDU still booked nearly €2.4 million in large donations from March through December, compared with zero for the SPD in that period.
- The FDP collected about €3.2 million in large donations in 2025, mostly before late February, yet failed to return to the Bundestag with 4.3 percent of second votes.
- Beyond cash, notable 2025 contributions included Media Force’s €1.5 million in-kind social-media production for the SPD and Bitpanda’s €1.75 million split among CDU, CSU, SPD and FDP, while the SSW continued to receive separate Danish state support.
