Overview
- The expanded Alte Försterei will open at 34,500 capacity, split into 22,500 standing places and 12,000 seats.
- The entire Waldseite and the lower tier will be standing-only, following consultations with fan and member groups.
- A uniform €1–2 surcharge per ticket will help bridge revenue losses during the reduced-capacity phase.
- Union and the Olympiastadion operator have agreed on use for 2027/28 with contracts being prepared; the club plans a last home game in Köpenick in May 2027 and a return for the first home match of 2028/29.
- The main stadium structure remains unchanged, preserving a path to 40,500 capacity once transport infrastructure allows.
