Unilever Recalls Wall’s Mini Milk Lollies Over Spanish-Only Allergen Labels

The FSA issued a nationwide safety alert after batches with Spanish-only ingredients lists were found to pose hazards for allergy sufferers.

  • Unilever UK announced a full recall of Wall’s Mini Milk Vanilla Strawberry & Chocolate Ice Cream Lollies after discovering that key allergen information appeared only in Spanish on the packaging.
  • The Food Standards Agency warned that the affected lollies contain milk and may contain nuts, peanuts and soya, posing a possible health risk to consumers with allergies or intolerances.
  • The recall applies to packs bearing batch codes L5123, L5126–L5129, L5141 and L5142 with a best before date of May 2027.
  • Major supermarket chains have removed the impacted products from shelves and are displaying point-of-sale notices advising customers not to consume them.
  • Unilever apologised for the labelling error, confirmed no other Wall’s products are affected and is handling refund requests through its consumer careline.
