Overview

• A passerby alerted authorities in the evening to a water-filled dug-up area in Kasarvadavali off Ghodbunder Road.
• Thane RDMC and Fire Brigade recovered the bodies from a roughly 2.5-foot-deep pit on agricultural land and sent them to the District Government Hospital.
• The victims, estimated at about 35 and about three years old, were declared dead on arrival and remain unidentified.
