Overview
- Officers responded just before 10 p.m. Thursday to a report of gunfire outside Louisiana Famous Chicken and Seafood and discovered a man shot multiple times in his parked pickup.
- After being struck, the victim’s vehicle rolled into the restaurant, causing minor damage before authorities pronounced him dead at the scene.
- Police believe occupants of a separate SUV drove up and fired more than a dozen rounds at the pickup before fleeing east on Loop 820.
- SWAT teams later raided a nearby home and detained two individuals on suspicion of involvement in the shooting.
- The Fort Worth Police homicide unit is leading the investigation and has not yet released the victim’s identity.
