Overview
- Officers responded Thursday around 3 p.m. to the 1300 block of Marketplace Drive after multiple 911 calls about a completely nude man in a public area.
- Police say the man was uncooperative, fighting officers and speaking incoherently during the detention attempt.
- He suffered a medical emergency shortly afterward and was transported to a nearby hospital by Garland Fire Department paramedics.
- Hospital staff notified investigators around 1 p.m. Friday that he had died, and Garland police have not released his identity.
- The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct a full autopsy as part of an independent investigation into the circumstances of his death.
