Unidentified Drones Detected Over U.S. Air Force Bases in England

British and U.S. forces are investigating mysterious drone sightings near four military installations, raising security concerns but no confirmed threats.

Drones have been spotted near RAF Lakenheath, RAF Mildenhall, RAF Feltwell, and RAF Fairford since November 20, with sightings continuing as of November 27.
The drones vary in size and configuration, with U.S. and UK military officials noting their coordinated activity suggests they are not operated by hobbyists.
Around 60 British troops, including counter-drone specialists, have been deployed to assist the U.S. Air Force in monitoring and investigating the incidents.
The Orcus counter-drone system, capable of tracking and neutralizing drones electronically, is being used to safeguard the bases and locate potential operators.
While the drones have not been identified as hostile or caused any impact to infrastructure, officials are exploring possible links to state actors, including Russia, given heightened geopolitical tensions.
