Overview

  • Najmul Hossain Shanto (136*) and Mushfiqur Rahim (105*) stitched an unbroken 247-run stand to carry Bangladesh to 292/3 by stumps on Day 1 in Galle.
  • Their partnership set a new record for Bangladesh’s highest fourth-wicket stand against Sri Lanka in Tests after the visitors had slipped to 45/3 early on.
