  • A 35-year-old man breached security at 10:20 am and was fatally sucked into the engine of Volotea Flight V73511, an Airbus A319 preparing for takeoff
  • All flight operations were suspended until around noon, resulting in the cancellation of 19 departures and diversions to Bologna, Verona and Milan Malpensa Airport operator SACBO and Italian authorities have cordoned off the taxiway and launched an investigation into how the trespasser accessed the runway
