UNAM Mega Vaccination Site Set for Nov. 10–14 as Mexico City Ramps Up Winter Drive

The weeklong clinic bolsters the city’s free winter campaign using updated monovalent COVID‑19 mRNA shots to cut severe illness.

Overview

  • The Mega Centro de Vacunación will operate Nov. 10–14 at Estadio Olímpico Universitario, Parking Lot 3, Access G, from 9:00 to 15:00, open to the general public.
  • Free doses on site include influenza, COVID‑19, pneumococcal and measles vaccines, with walk‑in access; ID is requested and bringing a vaccination card is recommended.
  • The COVID‑19 formulations are Moderna Spikevax LP.8.1 and Pfizer/BioNTech Comirnaty LP.8.1, both monovalent mRNA vaccines confirmed by federal health officials.
  • The campaign prioritizes children under five, adults 60 and older, pregnant people, individuals with chronic conditions and health personnel, in line with federal guidance.
  • Alongside the UNAM site, a weekly Zócalo module is operating as part of the city’s program through March 2026, and the national winter effort targets about 50.5 million total doses with multi‑agency coordination.
