Overview

• Volker Turk told the UN Human Rights Council that Israel’s “means and methods of warfare” in Gaza inflict “horrifying, unconscionable suffering” on Palestinian civilians
• Medical sources reported at least 20 Palestinians killed on Monday, including 15 aid seekers shot near Rafah distribution hubs run by the US- and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation
• Gaza’s health ministry says 274 people have died and more than 2,000 been wounded at GHF-run sites since late May when a partial blockade lift allowed limited food and medicine deliveries
• The United Nations and major relief groups have refused to collaborate with the GHF, accusing it of prioritizing Israeli military aims over civilian relief and igniting “chaos and despair” among starving residents
