Overview
- UNIFIL says a concrete T-wall built by the IDF crosses the UN-delineated Blue Line and renders more than 4,000 square metres of Lebanese land inaccessible.
- Peacekeepers notified the Israeli military of their findings and asked that the wall be moved or removed.
- UNIFIL reports another section under construction southeast of Yaroun also extending past the Blue Line.
- The Israeli military says the barrier is part of a northern-border fortification plan begun in 2022 and denies any crossing into Lebanon.
- Israel has maintained five positions inside Lebanese territory since the November 2024 ceasefire, which UNIFIL deems a violation of Lebanese sovereignty and Resolution 1701.
