Overview
- The UN reported escalating killings, attacks and harassment of Palestinians by Israeli settlers and security forces across the West Bank and East Jerusalem in recent weeks.
- About 30,000 Palestinians have been forcibly displaced in the northern West Bank since January’s launch of the Israeli military’s “Iron Wall” operation.
- In June, the UN recorded the highest monthly total of Palestinian injuries in the West Bank in over two decades.
- Since January there have been 757 settler attacks on Palestinians or their properties, marking a 13% increase on the same period last year.
- OHCHR data indicate at least 964 Palestinians and 53 Israelis have been killed in the occupied West Bank since October 7, 2023.
