Overview

  • WFP says it has delivered food parcels to around 1 million people over three and a half weeks and has opened 44 of 145 planned distribution points.
  • Seventeen WFP-supported bakeries now provide fresh bread daily to an estimated 700,000 people, while 180 kitchens serve about 1.16 million meals each day.
  • OCHA reports no direct convoys have reached northern Gaza via its crossings since Sept. 12, with aid still funneled through Kerem Shalom and Kissufim only.
  • WFP estimates only roughly half of required food volumes are entering, with limited variety and high prices keeping nutritious foods out of reach for most families.
  • UN teams recently collected nearly 200 truckloads of supplies and delivered health and protection items, including incubators and reproductive health kits, as shelter needs rise for winter.
