Ultraviolette X-47 Draws 3,000+ Bookings in 24 Hours as Radar-Equipped E-Motorcycle Launches in India

Deliveries begin in October in India, with the ₹2.49 lakh introductory price extended to the first 5,000 buyers.

Overview

  • Bengaluru-based Ultraviolette introduced the X-47 Crossover, billed as the first production motorcycle with integrated 77 GHz rear radar and cameras enabling blind-spot, lane-change, overtake and rear-collision alerts.
  • UV HyperSense tracks vehicles up to 200 meters and provides mirror and cluster warnings with hazard-lamp activation, while dual 1080p dashcams offer loop recording, crash-event video lock and playback on a secondary display.
  • Two battery options are available—7.1 kWh (211 km IDC) and 10.3 kWh (323 km IDC)—with peak output of 30 kW, 0–60 km/h in 2.7 seconds and a claimed 145 km/h top speed.
  • Pricing is ₹2.74 lakh ex-showroom for the 7.1 kWh version, bookings are open for ₹999, and the ₹2.49 lakh early-bird offer now applies to the first 5,000 customers.
  • Charging features include a 1.6 kW integrated onboard charger and a Parallel Boost Charging system that pairs with an auxiliary unit to halve AC charging times, with a wider global rollout targeted for 2026.
