Ulta Beauty Opens Kuwait Flagship in Middle East Debut

The Alshaya franchise sets up a GCC rollout targeting roughly a dozen stores by 2026, rising to about 80 by 2029.

Overview

  • Located at The Avenues in Kuwait, the 15,000-square-foot store offers about 300 beauty and wellness brands, many new to the Middle East.
  • Ulta is tailoring the region’s assortment with more luxury and fragrance space, plus elevated services including private facial rooms and a nail bar, featuring labels such as Tom Ford Beauty, Sisley, Burberry and Augustinus Bader.
  • Bella Hadid is set to attend the ribbon cutting, and her perfume line Ôrəbella joins new-to-Kuwait names including Morphe, Polite Society and Kiko Milano.
  • Next openings are scheduled for the UAE at Mall of the Emirates in January 2026 and Dubai Mall in March, with Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Mall in March 2026.
  • The expansion leverages a franchise partnership with Alshaya Group in a fast-growing regional market where Ulta will compete with Sephora’s Chalhoub-backed network, following Ulta’s earlier moves into Mexico and the U.K.
